Clinton ON.

This Sunday, the Huron County Oval is set to welcome fans back for another season of live harness racing after a two week delay due to construction of the new grandstand facility.

While racing will commence this Sunday as scheduled, some features will be limited, as construction on the project is ongoing.

Race fans can expect to utilize the lower floor of the grandstand, including washrooms, wagering, customer service, food and beverage. Unfortunately the stadium seating will not be accessible at this time, and will be completed for Sunday, June 15.

Plenty of seating will be available trackside in the seasons event tent, on the patio and temporary bleachers will be set up in the homestretch. As always, fans are encouraged to pack a lawn chair.

"We are very excited to welcome fans back to our new facility and another season of great racing in Clinton." states Marketing Manager Jessica Carnochan. "While it isn't quite in the capacity that we had hoped for opening day, it really is going to be worth the wait, and we think our fans will agree." She adds.

The grand opening event for the new facility is set for Sunday, July 6. It will happen alongside the celebration of Clinton's 150th, the Kin Pace Final, Ontario Sires Stakes and a fundraiser for Clinton Mustangs Minor Baseball.

Central Huron Secondary School kicks off the Day at the Races Fundraising series for 2025 and will host a 50/50, silent auction, bake sale and more all under the event tent this Sunday. The Super Sunday Show is back with new fun and games between the races and fans will have the chance to win two weekend passes to Lucknow's Music in the Fields.

The 11 race afternoon matinee goes to post at 1:30pm on Sunday, June 1.
